Representing the Career Firefighters of the City of Clifton NJ Fire Department

The Clifton Girl Scouts recently visited Fire Station 4 to learn more about the firefighting profession and spend time with our crew. During their visit, they had the opportunity to see the apparatus up close, ask questions, and gain insight into the work we do every day.
Of course, no visit would be complete without a little tradition, the Scouts also brought along their famous cookies and made a few sales to our firefighters!
We’re proud to support the Clifton Girl Scouts and always enjoy opportunities to connect with members of our community. Thank you for stopping by!

Mark your calendars! The Clifton Firefighters Foundation will be hosting its annual Tricky Tray on Friday, May 15, 2026, at the Boys & Girls Club of Clifton. Join us for a fun evening supporting a great cause.

Clifton FMBA 21 is proud to recognize the invaluable work of Chief Victor Scrivens and the North Jersey Fire Canteen in providing rehab services on fire scenes. Rehab is a critical part of firefighter safety, ensuring that members have the opportunity to rest, rehydrate, and recharge with food and refreshments while working in demanding and dangerous conditions.
To show our appreciation, Clifton FMBA 21 has donated $500 to the North Jersey Fire Canteen. We thank Chief Scrivens and his dedicated crew for their ongoing commitment to supporting firefighters when it matters most.
Clifton FMBA 21 Takes 2nd Place at 2025 Army Tank Pull Challenge
On Sunday, June 8, 2025, Clifton FMBA Local 21 brought strength, spirit, and solidarity to the 15th Annual Army Tank Pull Challenge, hosted by the New Jersey Knights of Columbus and Catholic Charities.
With a full 20-member team, we powered through the competition and pulled strong with an outstanding time of 6.38 seconds! At the time of this post, we were ranked in Second Place overall. We also want to spotlight John Bednarz and Cody Bleaken, who impressed everyone by pulling the 80,000 lb tank in 24.97 seconds during the lowest weight category, with a combined weight of only 447 lbs. Incredible effort by both!
Beyond the competition, it was a day filled with great memories, strong bonds, and support for a cause that matters. We were proud to stand side by side with our brothers from Clifton PBA 36 at our tent, enjoying the camaraderie, cornhole games, and good vibes. Huge thanks to Chief Rowan and Deputy Chief Legates for their hands-on support that helped push us toward victory.
This event wasn’t just about muscle—it was about community, charity, and unity, and we were honored to assist in raising funds for such a meaningful cause. To everyone who showed up early, brought the family, helped rally the team, or just stopped by to cheer us on—you helped make the day special. And a final thank-you to the Knights of Columbus for organizing another phenomenal event.

This weekend, our members were honored to assist with The Great Spring Carnival at Main Memorial Park! It was an amazing four days filled with thrilling rides, exciting games, delicious food, and endless fun.
We’re proud to be part of events that bring our community together and create unforgettable memories! Thank you to everyone who came out and made it such a success!

On February 24, 2025, four members of Clifton FMBA 21 put their cooking talents to the test at the annual State FMBA Cooked & Uncorked Event at Pines Manor in Edison, NJ. Representing Clifton were Michael Andrade, Salvatore Guardascione, Michael Cromey, and Tyler Czupak, who served up a delicious brisket with cornbread and a spiced BBQ sauce.
This highly anticipated event brings together firefighters from across New Jersey to showcase their culinary skills while supporting the NJ FMBA Foundation and the Burn Center at Cooperman Barnabas Medical Center. Clifton’s team demonstrated both their teamwork and passion for great food, making their department proud.
Congratulations to our Clifton FMBA 21 members for their participation and dedication!

The Clifton FMBA 21 recently concluded its Annual Coat Drive, collecting nearly 300 coats with the help of generous donations from Clifton residents. Throughout October, Clifton firehouses served as drop-off locations, allowing the community to come together to support those in need. The coats were then delivered to St. Peter’s Haven. Thank you to all who contributed to making this drive a success—your generosity has brought warmth to many this season.

Clifton FMBA 21 participated in the NJ Firemen’s Home Golf Outing and proudly sponsored a hole during the event. This fundraiser supports the NJ Firemen’s Home located in Boonton, NJ, which serves as a residence for 80 career and volunteer firefighters. The home offers essential care for residents who require assistance due to age, special needs, or lack of family support. The NJ firemen’s home also includes a small museum displaying equipment, photos, and memorabilia from around the entire state.
